Here at Hawthorn Drive Surgery we have two Integrated Social Prescribers - Debbie Finch and Vicky Vincent and also work closely with The Oaks Primary School.

Hawthorn Health Walk

Our weekly walk is currently on a break for the summer holidays - We'll be back in September and look forward to walking with you!

Supported by a Social Prescriber and a Registered Associate Nutritionist (ANutr)

Looking to move more and feel better? Our weekly Health Walk is a free, friendly walking group open to any patients living with long-term conditions such as diabetes, COPD, or heart disease. Involving a picturesque walk around Chantry Park.

These relaxed walks are designed to support your physical and mental wellbeing - no pressure, no pace too slow. Just a chance to stretch your legs, get some fresh air, and connect with others in the community.

An Associate Nutritionist will also be joining each week, so if you have any questions about healthy eating or weight management feel free to ask on the go.

No need to book- just turn up in comfortable shoes.

Chantry Chatter

What is Chantry Chatter?

Chantry Chatter is a relaxed and friendly drop-in session held every Thursday. It's a perfect opportunity to:

  • Engage in Fun Activities: Each week, we offer a variety of activities to keep you entertained and engaged. From games and crafts to informative talks and gentle exercises, there's something for everyone.
  • Enjoy Free Tea and Coffee: Take a break and enjoy a hot cup of tea or coffee on us. It's a great way to unwind and chat with others.
  • Connect with Others: Whether you're looking for a friendly chat or someone to share your thoughts with, Chantry Chatter is the place to be. Our community is here to support you.

Christians Against Povery (CAP) Debt Help

Christians Against Povery (CAP) are a UK registered charity who help people with their financial problems.

Each Monday in partnership with CAP we are running a drop in group to help you with your financial problems. Whatever the situation you are facing, there is hope. As a charity, CAP offer a completely free service to help lift the weight of debt from your shoulders. 

 If you would like support with any debt, money or budgeting concerns then join us at The Peace Café, St Francis Church, Ipswich - Mondays 10am
